Hi I'm Melissa

I grew up in Canada. I am a stay at home mom to four children. I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Canada but went to college in the United States. I am married to the love of my life going on ten years now! I have four children. I love being a mom. I stay at home with my kids. Being a mom keeps me very busy. I love blogging and online shopping and getting great deals wherever I can. One of my hobbies is cake decorating. I love spending time with friends and keeping up with family even though they all live so far away. I have a wonderful life!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. My parents taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe it because I feel it in my heart and in my mind. I have had impressions and feelings that I know are from the Spirit of the Lord. He says "ask and ye shall receive." I believe if we ask him to know if He is there He will answer. He answers prayers in many ways and He challenges us to have Faith in Him. I have had countless prayers answered. I have felt His spirit over and over again and I know that He lives and He knows us and He speaks to us. He knows me and He loves me and He wants me to draw near to Him. As I do, He draws near unto me. I believe in God. I believe Jesus Christ is His son who lived and walked on this earth. He was persecuted and killed but He lives again. He came to life again and I believe we all will live again after this life. This knowledge gives me peace and this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life following the example of Jesus Christ. I try to be a follower of Him in all I do. He taught faith, hope and charity. He taught us to love others. He also taught us to keep the commandments and be obedient to His teachings. In my life, I try to help other people, be kind to other people. I try not to judge others. I raise my children to believe in God and to be an example of His ways. Its very important to me that they live honest, virtuous lives. I attend church every Sunday. At my church I have responsibilities in the primary which is the childrens organization. I teach lessons and help with the administration of the classes and programs. I truly love going to church every Sunday and being with the children and being with other people who believe as I do. Its very uplifting to my soul. I believe that families are central to Gods plan for us so I devote myself to my family and I feel that being a wife and mother are my greatest roles. My children are my most important work at this point in my life and I love being a stay at home mom with them. The Church of Jesus Christ makes me happy. I can't imagine my life without it.
