Hi I'm Eva

I am a wife to my high school sweetheart and mother of 2 handsome sons. I love being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have many interests but it's hard to find the time to enjoy them all. I love playing sports and watching sports. I love to cook and feed my family. I like to read, go camping, play card games, watch funny movies, exercise, work in the yard and eat candy :). I love to organize everything. One word to discribe my family would be "fun". We love to joke around and laugh. Both of my boys are getting witty just like their dad. We all go to the gym every morning and workout. Then the boys go to early morning bible study, Tom goes to work and I go to bed. (just kidding) We are currently clearing our land so we can grow a garden and maybe raise a few chickens.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of all of the blessings that I receive from following it's teachings. I know that Jesus died for me and that he lives today. I know that their is a prophet on the earth today. When I hear him speak I know that he is revealing God's will for me. It feels good when I am keeping the commandments, living up to my covenants and keeping a relationship with God. When I don't do those things, life gets hard and the peaceful feeling goes away. I want to live righteously so I can live with my family forever and return and live with my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus. I wanted to find a honorable young man who believed in these beliefs so we could be happy together and raise a family in righteousness. I met a young man (Tom) while I was in high school in Massachusetts. He was funny, handsome and treated me with respect but he was not a member of this church. I wanted a man that held the priesthood and could take me to the temple to receive blessings for time and all eternity. After high school I moved to Utah to go to college. A few months later Tom called me and told me that he wanted to move out to Utah. When he arrived I told him what I believed in and what I wanted for myself and my future family. To my surprised he was very interested. He wanted more out of his life. I introduced him to two young men that taught him about the gospel. He read and prayed to know if it was true. He received a conformation from the holy ghost and wanted to be baptized. He was baptized on January 4th 1994. He asked me to marry him on Valentine's Day of the same year. Now, he was a handsome, funny, respectful man that was a member of the church. I went to my knees and prayed to know if he was the right man for me to marry, for I truely wanted to make the right choice. I got a confirmation that he was. We were married on May 14th, 1994. We were sealed in the temple a year later. I'm so thankful for the happiness we have shared for the past 16 years.

How I live my faith

I pray and read the scriptures daily, by myself and with my family. At church I help out with the boy scout program. I have been doing this for several years. I help keep all the paperwork in order and help the boys advance to their next rank. I love it. I am part of the womens group at church, we help those that need help, we learn from eachother and we look out for one another. This year I am planning the Christmas party for church.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Eva
Our church service on Sunday is called Sacrament meeting. We start with a hymn and a prayer. We partake of the sacrament which is bread and water that is blessed and represents the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Then we hear from a few speakers. We do not pass around a donation basket or request donations as a part of our service. Anybody can come into our church and anyone can Show more Show less
