Hi I'm David

I work in higher education as an Academic Advisor. I love history and the arts, especially comic book art, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working in higher education as an academic advisor. I have two wonderful children whom I love dearly, and am married to the most amazing women in the world. Right now I am working on a doctorate degree in Higher Education Leadership, and am finding it hard to find time just to enjoy being with family. I love art and history, and wish I could teach both. I love to read comic books when I can, and I sometimes like to buy an action figure or 2 for fun. I am really just a big geek at heart. I love to draw when I can, I carry a sketch book with me where ever I go. I am learning how to fly fish (but not having much luck). I also love to listen to music, and feel like I am beginning to become more open to what's out there.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 13 years old because we had friends who were members of the church. It wasn't until after college, trying to figure out who I am and where I fit into this world, along with some very needed trials, that I began to turn my heart and mind toward the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel and Heavenly Father have given me so much peace and guidance in my life that I would be lost without it. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Book of Mormon both make sense to me. They give me hope night and day. The more I read the scriptures, and learn about the need for a prophet today, the more it makes sense.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example of what we as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe, although I am not always perfect. I try to teach people, and help them understand what it is that we believe.
