Hi I'm Bob

I grew up in Phoenix, AZ, I'm an office manager and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dad of 5 daughters and enjoy time with my family. I grew up in a family business and education was never all that important to me because I knew I was a vital part of the business. My how time changes things. I have gone back to school and recieved my college degree and I am now an Office Manager for a large national company. My children love showing lambs in the county fair and that has taken a lot of our time. My world revolves around my wife and daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the privlege of being a member of the church all my life, but I didn't always understand and had to find out for myself. While serving my mission I read and studied The Book of Mormon and gained my own testimony through prayer. With that testimony I was able to help others learn of Heavenly Fathers plan for us and His infinate love for us, His children. The church brings me peace when life gets hard.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the church. I have served in many different areas within the church. I think my most favorite is teaching the children. My wife and her family have taught me so much about being Christ like and reaching out and helping others in need. If someone is broken down on the road we stop and help. Usually it is just to help push them out of the street because they have called and help is on the way. We keep a small amount of gasoline on hand in case we find someone that ran out of gas. There is comfort when helping others.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Bob
I believe my 5 daughters are at their best when they are dressed modestly. Modesty shows respect for our bodies and helps keep thoughts and actions in harmony with gospel teachings. Modesty in dress and language help to keep us spiritually clean so there is less chance of offending our Heavenly Father. In our home, my wife and I try to teach by example. We are careful with how we talk and keep our words clean. We dress properly for all occasions and our daughters do the same. We don't "make" them; they understand now and feel uncomfortable wearing clothes that are low cut or tight fitting, or around people using harsh language. Show more Show less
