Hi I'm Mac

I love my family. I'm serving a two-year mission.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Utah Ogden Mission for two years. I have a loving mother and step-father, along with two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister. Before my mission, I played video games and hung out with my friends. I like to try and help people grow more, especially families that are struggling with their relationships.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and went from the time I was young throughout my life. During that time, my parents had always encouraged me to serve a mission and I wanted to as well, but never truly knew that this gospel was true. I began to read and pray to know, but I didn't have the real firm desire to know. I had received my mission call to the Odgen Utah Mission and was excited to go, but still didn't have that clear testimony. I didn't even know that God was even really there. I ended up going to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) mainly because I didn't want to disappoint anyone and I also knew that if I didn't go, I would be confronted with a lot of questions that I didn't want to answer. After being in the MTC for a week, I came to the realization that I wasn't going to waste two years of my life if this gospel wasn't true. I needed to learn for myself if it was or was not. I knew at that point that if this was true, I would continue to serve and put my all into this or if it was not true, then I would stop right there and leave. That same day, I was given the opportunity to play the role of someone who struggled with a belief in God. At that moment, I knew that this was ME. I struggled with a belief in God and I knew that this was my opportunity to find out for myself if He truly was there. The missionary I was practicing with asked me to kneel and pray to see if God was there. I did just that. When I spoke the words, "God are you there?", I felt an intense burning within my chest. I knew that I had not created that, that I could not create that, but that an outside force had come into me to confirm to me that God truly was there. I know that the Spirit was the one who gave me that witness and that I must do as I had decided, that if God was there and this was true, then I would continue with my mission.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the church. Part of what I do as a missionary is help others to experience the same happiness that I have in this gospel. I know that it is only through this gospel that the most happiness can be a part of our lives. I go around Utah, currently Bountiful, and talk to people who want to know more about the LDS Church and help them gain the same knowledge about Christ that I have.
