Hi I'm Myra

I am a wife, mother and grandma. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, quilt and bake in my spare time. I am a mother of five children, and a grandma of five. I love to stay at home, but love to travel to see family. My favorite place to vacation is Disney World.

Why I am a Mormon

My best friend in high school was a Mormon and a very good example. She shared her faith through her actions. She gave me a Book of Mormon with her testimony written on stationery tucked inside for my 19th birthday. Seven months later, I called the missionaries and asked to be taught the gospel. A month later, I joined the church and became the only member in my family. Joining the church was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I have experienced great peace and happiness. I know that I am a child of God. That knowledge has made a huge difference in my life. I feel my Heavenly Father's love for me every day. I receive guidance and direction through His Holy Spirit in the day to day decisions both big and small. When hard times come into my life, God strenthens me so I can get through these experiences and become a better person. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior. His church helps me draw closer to Him and know His love.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I also worship and serve in the temple monthly. I have taught all age groups - children, youth and adults in His church. I love being a visiting teacher - I have the opportunity to have contact with three wonderful women from our congregation every month. My service in His church has taught me how to be a leader. I have also become more comfortable speaking in front of groups. Before being a member of His church, my confidence and public speaking skills were lacking. I have experienced that with His Holy Spirit all things are possible. I just have to have the faith to follow divine impressions, go forward, and do His will.
