Hi I'm Michael

I'm a husband and a father. I'm a son, a brother, and a coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite activities are all based around spending time with my wonderful wife and children. We enjoy playing baseball, basketball, taking bike rides, going for walks and camping...and dancing (mostly Breakdancing). Although at my age I spend most of the time breaking while my children do the dancing. We love music and laughter! A great sence of humor is the requirement in our household in order to survive :) I grew up in a family that was supportive and loved playing sports. I enjoy being involved with my children in their activities. I coach/umpire whenever there is a need and an opportunity. I also enjoy helping others see their potential, and help them to reach to be the best they can. As and ocupation, I am in the Heating and Cooling industry. I love to see people happier because we've made their life more comfortable.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in a loving, fun and active family, I always felt something missing in my life (especially on Sundays) even when I was a young child. As I grew up I went to church with friends from time to time but was never very active in attending religoius services regularly until my Junior year in High School. At that time I attended a Bible Church with a friend in a small community just outside of my hometown. After high school I spent a couple of years away from church but always felt a draw to return. Through work I met some friends involved with a group called Young Life which helped youth learn of Christ. I loved being involved with this organization because it helped me to help others while I grew in my relationship with my Savior. I was eventually baptized in a Christian church with one of my childhood friends. At one point I was preparing to become a Youth Pastor and considering attending a Bible College. As I began to attend various religous services on my own and with my Young Life friends, I realized that the teachings from church to church were so different that it caused me to question what I believed. As my wife and I were dating we decided that we needed to find a church that we could eventually join and raise our family in. We attended no less than 20 different denominations/chuches with friends and on our own seeking what church would fit our needs. Finally we realized that we needed to ask God where to go and what he wanted for our lives. This lead us to accept an invitation from some dear friends to attend their church. We had know them for a year and admired their commitment to their church and family. We eventually met with missionaries and I instantly knew, as they shared their message of the restored gospel, that this was what I had been looking for since I was a child that could fill that empty feeling. I joined the church with my wife and we have been greatful ever since!

How I live my faith

I have served as a local missionary, taught the youth, been in leadership positions in men's organizations and helped serve in the community with various church callings. What a great opportunity to help others and become more than I would have been otherwise.
