Hi I'm Brock

I grew up in small town Arizona, I love to play my acoustic guitar and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Brock and I love life and all of the crazy things it brings! Through the ups and the downs in life there is always a positive side of things and I do my best to find what it is and then be happy. I have worked at an automotive shop for a few years and also gone done some college. I plan on going into the medical field, more specifically the radiology program. I love to longboard and enjoy going out with my friends and riding some hills to just unwind. I also play guitar and have been doing so for about three years now. It is one of my favorite pass times ever and is always something I like to do. Getting together with other musicians and just having a jam will never get old for me! Music is something that speaks to me in many ways and I hope to continue in learning more about music and how it can help people. That is me in a nutshell!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of this church because I know it is true. That about says it right there but there is definately much more to my belief than a simple statement that it is true. When I was younger I never really saw how the church helped me in my life to be honest, it was just something I did. But as I got older and I saw some of my older siblings struggle in their lives I began to see how important the church is. Everytime things got bad and they had done things they knew were wrong it always brought sadness for them and everyone in the family. I also had things in my life that I had done wrong that made me feel bad and not too sure about what I wanted or where I was going in this life. Luckily, I realized that this confusion came from a lack of a relationship with God. As I really began to study the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and apply the things I learned from those books and from church my life really began to turn around. I could tell a huge difference in my confidence and overall satisfaction with life. As I began to base my life around the teachings of Jesus Christ, which is what our church is all about, I felt myself gaining a relationship with Him and my Father in Heaven. I could feel of their love more than ever before and began to trust God to lead me in my life so that I could be truly happy. I was able to have a greater love for God and my family as well. I found out how this was true by doing as many people have, I prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked for him to tell me of the truthfulness of this church and it's teachings. My answer didn't come all at once but as a slow and comforting answer throughout the years of my life. Many small experiences of feeling the Spirit of God through the experiences I have had have let me know that this church is true and I can be blessed through living the teachings of Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by having a good time with others in the church and also by inviting others to follow Christ as well. I have brought friends to all kinds of things that the church does to better the community. Some examples would be such things as service activities, scouting, social events, etc. Really the best way to look at how I live what I believe is seen through the things I do. I try to do my best every day to be kind to everyone and help them out in whatever way I possibly can because I think that is what we all should for each other.
