Hi I'm Shane

I'm a husband. I'm a father of two crazy boys. I love business. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge sports fan. My teams are the Jazz, Yankees, Cowboys, BYU, and now the Kings thanks to Jimmer. My hobbies include cycling, lifting weights, golf, reading, and hanging out with family and friends. I am passionate about business and entrepreneurship. Someday, I hope to start an educational group that teaches teenagers financial literacy. I have completed a marathon, 200 mile running relay, and a 200 mile cycling race. I grew up camping, hunting, and fishing. Hopefully, I can get back to those roots some day so my boys don't grow up as total city slickers. My greatest joy comes from my amazing wife and my two wonderful boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy and happiness it brings to my life every single day. Living the Gospel helps me to be a better husband, father, friend, and business person. The principles taught each week in church help me to be a better contributing member of society. Most of all I am Mormon because I know it is true. I have a personal witness and testimony that The Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was called to restore God's church on earth in its entirety, that Thomas S. Monson is God's living prophet on the earth today, and that families can be together forever through the Priesthood and sealing power that exists in the temples.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good person in all aspects of life. The Church has given me opportunities to teach Sunday school, serve in leadership positions, be a missionary, serve the youth, visit families in their homes and share gospel messages, and give talks to large congregations. Most importantly, I live my faith in my home. We teach our children about prayer, scripture study, tithing, temples, prophets and apostles, the Holy Ghost, being a good citizen, and other topics that allow them to have joy. The Church brings peace to our home when the world is in such a chaotic state.
