Hi I'm Pratt

I've lived in 10 different states and 3 different countries. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming town in northern Mexico. After college, I served for 11 years as an officer in the U.S. Army, and have since worked for a manufacturer of heavy construction equipment. Part of my job included traveling to visit customers in Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, and Curacao. I like to ride motorcycles, go camping, have run a marathon, and am scuba certified. I have five grown children and have been happily married for 32 years.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ has been my guide throughout my life. The gospel and my family have brought me the most happiness, peace, and joy than anything else I've known. The more I learn about God and the gospel from the scriptures and His living prophets and apostles, the more I love God and His plan for our happiness. It is truely a marvelous work and a wonder.

How I live my faith

I've served in the Scouting program for over 20 years in various capacities as scoutmaster, den leader, committee member, etc. and have served the youth and adults as a teacher and church leader all my adult life. As I speak Spanish, I was assigned to serve in a Spanish-speaking congregation for five years. It was a blessing to serve and see the growth of these individuals and families as so many accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ and lived the principles of the gospel. I have seen the same thing in all the different places I have lived. Nothing else brings the blessings of God into our lives as much as keeping His commandments and honoring the covenants made with Him.
