Hi I'm Trent

I am an Air Force brat and grew up around the world. My family settled in Southwestern United States in late 1972. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 50 year old that was married in the temple to my sweetheart now for over 27 years. We have five children. Our three oldest are married and we have a grandson now. Shortly after marraige, I studied at a university, while my wife supported me to allow me to dedicate my time to my studies by baby sitting in our small apartment, because she didn't want to leave our 2 children in someone elses care. She was and still is amazing!! I am now a Certified Public Accountant.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life, but there came a time in my life that I couldn't rely on my heritage's beliefs. I had to know for myself. I studied. I prayed. I wanted to know. There were times that I looked at the fruits of being a member. I remembered the time I was so sick, I didn't want to move and my father and brother gave me a priesthood blessing and my body was restored to health. I remembered the feelings I felt when I met church general authorities. I remembered the feelings I felt when I asked God for help when I have not lived a good life (There have been plenty of those times). I remembered those feelings were familiar, because they were similar. The memory of those feeling and other such feelings have helped me to recognize that special feeling (Spirit) when I asked and knew and then shared when I served a church mission and asked my sweetheart to marry me (She finally said yes), and then when I gave my children priesthood blessings. No my life isn't perfect (my wife and children could tell you that), but when I have needed the help or the blessings, I know God has been there. He cared enough for me that he sent something or someone into my life to help me. My Mother, my Father, my church leaders, my friends, my sweet Wife and our children, my Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ. They have all been there in my times of need. I am so grateful that My God is my Father in Heaven and he cares about me enough to allow me to feel those special feelings when I asked because I had to know for my self. "Are you there?" "Do you care?" "Is this true?" "Is this what you want me to be?" The answer came and it was a peaceful, sweet and still calm feeling of "Yes". I knew and know that my God and Father loves me and that is why I am still a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live in such away so that others will want to know more, because they have seen the way I live my life. I want to be a desciple or follower of Jesus Christ.
