Hi I'm Veronica

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi everyone! I am Veronica and I live in sunny California! I am 39 years old and married to the most wonderful man! I have 3 beautiful daughters Ashley 21, Julia 19 and Lia 17 and a handsome 10 year old step-son, Scott. We also have a beautiful new grand daughter, Adeline who is 1 year and we have two more grand babies on the way! First of all, I have to say I love this church. It is the most real, beautiful and amazing thing that has come into my life. I really can't find the words to explain the feeling that now emulates from my heart. It is the strongest, purest love. I can't believe how much God loves me that we waited patiently for me to find my way back to him. I was raised in several different denominations from Catholic to Baptist. We even dabbled with the Church of Religious Science. My family has a background of using witchcraft, has abuse and other horrific issues. All my life I believed in Jesus and I was saved at a young age even though I only practiced on and off. There was always something missing and I could never put my finger on what it was. I was one of those people who would pretend not to be home when the missionaries would come walking up my street. What a shame. If I would have only known how important, beautiful and awesome they are. They are everything to me now. I was baptized in May 2011. I now have 6 months sober from alcohol and I am doing all I can to follow the word of wisdom. I know this church is true and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this church. The people are genuine and true. I have been led to learn about the fullness of the Gospel. When I pray I feel the Holy Spirit close. The feelings I have when I am around the Missionaries are unmistakable. I feel the Holy Spirit like never before. It is a gentle Spirit, full of love. I was simply misled for years. The LDS Church is not a cult. The members do not do foolish things behind closed doors that people have lied about for so long. These are all a gentle and loving people. We simply follow the Bible, we believe in the Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is more scripture found by Joseph Smith years ago. We do not use it in place of the Bible, but in fact we use it along with the Bible. I have found the fullness of the Gospel. Members of the LDS church only want to comfort and help others in need. We follow the commandments to the best we can. This is what I have been missing for so long as I was never a part of LDS Church. This Church is unity and love. Never in my life have I felt so much love in one place with such completeness. This is why I am a Mormon. I just hope I can be an example to my kids and Grand Children now. I want to show them that you can change at any time and turn your life around. There is hope and there is a loving God.

How I live my faith

I try to live each day to it's fullest. I try to read the Bible and Book of Mormon as much as I can. Follow the Commandments the best I can paying my Tithes and obeying the Word of Wisdom to the best I can. I pray and think of others daily helping as many as I can. I love Humanitarian work and I am pursuing this as well. I am getting my degree as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and I incorporate this with my career so I can change as many lives as possible in every area of my life. I want to be an example for others and show them that they can change their lives for the better too.
