Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon. I have worked in the Waterworks Distribution business for 22 years. I have 4 wonderful children and an awesome wife.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 24 years and have 4 wonderful children ages, 22, 20, 16,13 They are very active in many things and keep us running. Our family moved up to the "great northwest" back in 1989 for work. Because of where we live I love camping, fishing, hiking, boating, riding motorcycles and ATV,s. I have worked in the Waterworks Distribution business for over 22 years. My first position with the company was as a truck driver. In my 22 year career I have worked in most every position all over the northwest and now work as a district manager.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was fortunate enough to be born to parents that are Mormon. My Dad was a Mormon when he met my Mother who was Catholic. When I was very young, about 3, she joined the Mormon church and we were sealed together in the temple to be a family, not just for our time on earth, but for ever. When I was a teenager I wanted to know for myself if the Mormon religion was true. I visited a few churches and through prayer asked God if the Mormon church was Christ's true church here upon the earth. He answered my prayer, I had a tremendous feeling of peace and comfort, I knew the Mormon Church was true. I felt blessed and had a desire to share what I knew to be true with others. I prepared myself to serve a mission for the church and served a 2 year mission in Columbus Ohio. It was quite possibly the greatest 2 years of my life as I dedicated 100 percent of my life to God and his work. I am so grateful for the knowledge and testimony I have of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints....The Mormon Church. I know that I have a Father in Heaven and that I am his son. I know that he loves and cares about me and is concerned about me and my welfare. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, he atoned for my sins. I have had many prayers answered and have seen the hand of The Lord guiding and directing my life. I know that there is a purpose for my life. I know that The Lord has a work for me to do and I feel a desire to serve others in whatever capacity The Lord asks me to. My life has been blessed as I have attended church, read my scriptures, said my prayers and served others.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life the best I can with my family everyday. We have set aside every Monday night as a family night so that we can spend time together, discuss what's going on in our lives. We read scriptures together and pray together every night. This has really brought us closer together. We feel very close to one another and have a great love for one another. I have the blessing to serve as the Bishop of our congregation. I serve in that capacity because I love the people and love The Lord. It is truly awesome to associate with so many wonderful saints who live the gospel, freely give of their time, talents and resources to help bless the lives of others. All members of the Mormon church who serve do so without any pay. It is what's called a lay ministry. All work together to help teach, uplift, support and love one another. The congregation is comprised of members in a geographic area is called a ward. The members of the ward are called brothers and sisters. We believe that we are all children of god and that makes us, literally brothers and sister, so in essence we are a family, a "ward family". I have moved several times in my career and it has been a wonderful blessing to be able to attend church and instantly have a ward family that cares about me and is there to help me in any way they can.
