Hi I'm Jen

I am a mom, wife and teacher who loves the outdoors and running, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Colorado native and love everything that Colorado has to offer. My husband and I have been married for almost three years and we have one daughter. We love to spend time outdoors hiking together and love the Colorado mountains. I have a passion for running and try to go as often as I can. I taught special education for 10 years before becoming a stay at home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a part member family. We went to church on a fairly regular basis but it was not until I went to college that I gained my own testimony of the gospel. After enduring many trials, I decided that I needed to know for myself if the gospel was true and could no longer rely on the testimony of others. After much prayer, scripture study, and pondering, I have learned for myself that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real, that the Book or Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who restored the church. Through that restoration, we now have the priesthood on the earth which blesses my life on a daily basis.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life being an example of kindness, service and charity to everyone with whom I come in contact. However, like all of us, I am not perfect and continue to learn on a daily basis. I am responsible for leading the children in my church and love learning from them and serving them. I love teaching the children because I learn of the true simplicity of the gospel and the joy that it brings to our lives.
