Hi I'm Adam

I'm a structural engineer. I design railroad bridges. I am married with one child and another on the way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of a very active little boy who won't let us look away for two seconds without him getting into sticky situations. I like spending time with my wife and son. When not working or engaged in husbandly or fatherly activities, I like to listen to music, play the piano, go on bike rides, and I do a little composing of dorky electronic music on the computer. I also like to read science fiction, fantasy, military history and political books. I served a two-year church mission in Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My parents taught me the Gospel since I was a little bambino, but they always taught me that I could only trust their words for so long and then one day I would have to learn for myself whether I believed the Church was true. Since then, I have had many testimony-building experiences of my own that have convinced me that this church is where I need to be and what can bring my family and me true happiness and help us to achieve our purpose in life. I have found that doing my best to obey the commandments and try to help the Lord in serving those around me is the best way to be happy.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week on Sunday and participate in service projects in the community with my ward. I serve in a position at church where I have been trying to learn how to do family history work and encourage other church members in that activity. I also enjoy going to the temple as it always is a peaceful experience. I have the opportunity to visit several church members every month to share a spiritual message and see if they need help in any area of their life. Though overcoming temptation and obeying God's commandments can be challenging for everyone, I try to be nice to everyone and do the things the Savior would have me do.
