Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a sportsaholic. I'm the only redhead with a tan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the same small town in Idaho. Because of the area and town, I learned to enjoy the outdoors. I try to spend much of my time outside and love to hike. I have a endless passion for photography. I love to spend some time taking photos of the places I have been. I'm not very camera savvy, but that's not important as long as I am able to take some pictures. I was raised on sports. In high school I was an active part of our varsity football, basketball, and baseball teams. I was offered positions on several college football teams, but turned them down to pursue an Athletic Training degree and provide me with the opportunity to serve the Lord on a mission. I have recently been called to do so in the California Sacramento mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. I have been raised in this Church and know of the Gospel, but that does not mean that I do not have a conversion story. As a child I simply went because that is what I knew - my parents raised me that way. Because of this I gained enough knowledge to know the general guidlines of right and wrong. My area had very few Mormon youth. It had even less that were involved sports. So most of my friends growing up were the athletes and the "cool" kids in school. this created a mixed message for me. I did my best to follow what I was taught as a child, but also tried my best to fit in at the same time. It wasn't until High School that I realized how important the knowledge I had was. From that moment on I have continued to improve my image and to make sure that I represent the Lord to the best of my abilities. Through my experiences, I have come to the knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel. I know the Book of Mormon is true. It contains the greatest message upon this earth, and brings joy to my life. I know that the Lord works the same today as He did in days of old. A prophet lives on the earth today that receives revelation for us in our time. I am going to give two years of my life to the Lord in His service. I want to help others find the great and eternal joy that I have found within the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Being young, I have not had many opportunities to participate in church callings, but I try my best to be involved in any way I can. I've been involved in service projects for both the members of my area, and for the community in general. To keep it brief, the most important way I try to live my faith is through my example. I know that I did not show my faith through my actions as a teenager, so now I'm stepping up my efforts to show my friends, as well as anyone who I have the opportunity to meet, how important this gospel is to me, and the great impact it has had in my life. Over the next two years, I will be devoting all my time and effort to my faith through missionary service. It will be challenging, and I know that I will struggle at times, but I also know that it will be two of the best years of my life because of message I will be sharing and the joy I will help bring to the lives of others.
