Hi I'm Garrett

I'm a Mormon. I like to do back flips.

About Me

I am a filmmaker, photographer, dancer and father. My family is everything to me, and I have an amazing wife who shares adventures with me whenever possible. We met in a ballroom dance class and went on to train, compete and tour with the BYU Ballroom Dance company. After a few years of hard work and friendship, I finally asked her on a date and the rest is history. Now we run a small media production business together and we still dance whenever we can. I know that there is a lot of good in every person, family and culture on earth, and I know that every single person on earth can learn life-changing truths from the teachings of Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was a Catholic until she joined the LDS church. My father was raised a mormon. Both have shown me ways to know God, have reverence for His Son, Jesus Christ, and serve my brothers and sisters on this earth. Since leaving home and going out on my own, I've scrutinized the roots and fruits of my parents' faith. I've earned a university degree in Linguistics with a university minor in Hebrew, and have been able to study the oldest manuscripts of the Old Testament that we have access to, including the Dead Sea Scrolls and the early Masoretic Codices. As I have sought to learn what Christ taught, and have gradually become a disciple of Christ, my faith in and understanding of the Bible has been strengthened by the Book of Mormon and other revelations that came through prophets and apostles on the earth today. I continue to follow Christ because I want to become like He is. I believe that His church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that His prophets alive today will continue to lead me to Him.

How I live my faith

Faith, Hope, Charity. I have faith in the Savior and his atonement for all of God's children. That faith gives me hope in eternal life with God. That hope lightens my burdens and helps me to focus on others, rendering service and love (charity). When I feel God's love for his children it strengthens my faith.
