Hi I'm Scott

I'm a father and a grandfather, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a large family, with 5 brothers and sisters. My wife and I have been blessed with 4 wonderful children, and we now have 3 grandchildren (with one more on the way). Family is very important to me, and my life revolves around my family. Every summer, our family likes to spend time on the lake together. We love to waterski, wakeboard, wake surf, and just spend time together. We love Lake Powell and get there at least once every summer. In the winter, we like to snow ski and snowboard as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. Our Church emphasizes families, teaching that families can be together forever. I want to be with my family forever, into the eternities. The center of our Church is the Savior, Jesus Christ. His magnificent atonement and resurrection were for me personally and have blessed my life. The teaching of our Church make me a better person and bring me much happiness. I know from Gospel teachings why I am here on Earth, that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and that I can achieve my potential by obeying God's commandments. I am very grateful for a living Prophet, who communicates regularly with Heavenly Father and who leads and guides us. The Church provides a way for me and my family to stay focused on what is important in a world that is changing every day.

How I live my faith

Attending Church on Sundays is only part of how I live my life as a Mormon. Our Church emphasizes teaching of the Savior, including honesty and integrity. In my work as an attorney, I try to emulate the Savior's life in how I interact with others. I also enjoy providing service to those in need. I have had the opportunity to serve in many positions in our Church, including as a bishop. I have learned much about others in these callings, but, most important, I have learned that our Heavenly Father and the Savior love each and every person and care about them. They want us to help those in need around us.
