Hi I'm Laura

I lived in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah growing up. I love to hike and work in my garden. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I have 4 children. Three boys and a girl! They have all left home and are married with families of their own. I have 6 grandchildren. They are the greatest! I love working with clay and making pottery and I love horsebackriding. I worked in an elementary school as a teacher's aid for 17 years. I just loved it. I am retired now and enjoy the slower (ha ha) pace of retirement.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth again and was restored by a prophet of God. I have served in many callings in the church and have gained a great testimony of serving others by doing so. Service is all about Christ! Jesus served others all his life and I know I get closer to him by serving others also. I bear witness of the atonement of Jesus Christ and his love for all of us!

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints means you participate and are given callings to run the programs of the church. I currently work with the younger kids, ages 3-12. This is called Primary. It is so special to be able to teach and present lessons to these sweet children! They are so anxious to do what's right!. I have learned so much from them and hopefully they are learning to be like Christ and be a successful member of the community. I have also taught Seminary for the teenagers in high school and been involved with many service projects with all the women in our church. Every aspect of this church has taught me who I am, and who I can become. I love it!
