Hi I'm Josh

I'm a father, a church leader, and a dentist. I live near the Black Hills and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I split my time between spending time with my family, work as an endodontist (root canal specialist), church activities, and I manage to spend time watching sports here and there as well. I'm the father of four beautiful children and husband to a gorgeous wife. After spending 10 years in school after high school, we have finally been able to settle down with a real job and raise my kids in the shadow of the Black Hills.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I believe that God has restored his true church on the earth through prophets. I have spent much time and energy studying the beliefs and practices of many religions. The LDS church is the only one that has all the answers--it just makes sense. But that is not how I know it is true. I know this is Christ's church restored in the last days because I have felt the promptings and confirmation of truth from the Holy Ghost through the "fruits of the spirit" as explained by the Apostle Paul in the New Testament (Gal. 5:22) as I have studied and prayed about the truthfulness of the doctrines and practices of this church. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

Nothing is more important to me than my faith in God and his son Jesus Christ, and my family. I am the bishop, or pastor, of our local congregation in the LDS church which means I spend a lot of time with church activities and visiting members of the church to help in any way I can, but one of the great things about our church and its teachings is that family always comes before church responsibilities. Because of this, I make sure to take my wife on dates, coach my son's soccer team, and regularly read stories to my little girls.
