Hi I'm Scott

I love my wife! I'm a die hard Ute fan! And I'm a stormin' mormon!

About Me

I am 24 years old and come from a family of 5 (Dad, Mom, brother, and sister) and I am the oldest sibling. I served a two year mission in the Missouri-Kansas areas from 2011-2013. Since then, I have been to school and graduated with my Associate's Degree and am continuing my education. I am pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Community and Consumer Studies with an emphasis in Financial Planing. I am a Financial Representative with E*Trade Financial. My favorite things to do are play the drums and other percussion instruments, play the piano, play the Wii or Play Station, watch Netflix/Redbox, and I love being with my family; especially my sweet Wife. Her and I have known each other since middle school, and we did not date until after my mission, and she has been the love of my life for these last two wonderful years. I look forward to so many adventures with her.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for my whole life. And, my faith has been challenged to doubt. But, every time I do something that is in accordance of the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I feel a sense of peace. And According to Galatians 5:22-23, it says (22) "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.". Did you see "peace"? When I feel peace, I know it is the spirit testifying to me of the truth of the Savior. He testifies of the Savior, and anything I do that is in accordance of His teachings, I know that I am doing what I need to be. In short, I am a Mormon because I know that is what Heavenly Father wants me to be. And I love being a Mormon because I get to strive and become like my Savior and Brother, Jesus Christ. And I want to do that and know I can through his enabling grace.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the LDS Church my whole life and I did not expose myself to much of anything else until my mission. On my mission, I was exposed to so many different point of views and faiths. And I have learned of many more since my mission. It has challenged my faith to hear all of these different opinions and voices. But, when I read the Book of Mormon, attend Church, and pray to my Father in Heaven, I always feel a sense of peace in my life. Especially when I do these things with my wife. There is a special spirit about the Book of Mormon that I have not felt anywhere else.
