Hi I'm Travis

I grew up in Utah and now live in CO where I have 6 kids and an amazing wife.

About Me

I am a father of 6 kids who amaze me every day with how awesome they are. Awesomeness runs in my family but in my case it must have skipped a generation :) I have spent most of my life in sales. It was an easy decision because when I convinced my wife to marry me (being way out of my league) I knew there was nothing I couldn't sell. I spend my time worknig to support my family, playing basketball (the greatest sport ever) with my boys and looking forward to date night on Fridays. I also spend my free time getting into projects that are way over my head, such as finishing the basement, putting in a sports court in the back yard and fixing various disasters created by my 4 year old daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because my parents (who are the greatest example of selfless love I have ever met in my life) raised me in the faith. Any question as to what faith in Jesus Christ can do to help and lift a person is answered in knowing my parents, my wife, her parents, my close friends and family and especially me. Every single day this faith keeps me going and helps me to become a better person. I am a mormon because I know by living the teachings makes my life better. I know that if I do my part my Father in Heaven has made arragments through His church where I can be with my family even after death for eternity. There is nothing more important to me than my family and because of the sacrafice of Jesus Christ and the establishment of His church again on the earth, my family life, although not perfect is filled with hope and love and joy every day. I do not know where I would be without the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but I am grateful I have it in my life because it has made it AWESOME!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by developing a relationship with my Father in Heaven daily. This is done by doing the best I can to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and especially by repenting when I make mistakes. I find that during the week there are many temptations or frustrations and disappointments that can occur. I also find there are many great things that can happen. Every week I look forward to going to church where I can partake of the sacrament and recieve strength to get through the hard times, but also express my gratitude to the Lord for the many great blessings he has given me. He has made it easy to live the faith by giving me scriptures by which I can learn His words and recieve strength. He has given me the ability to communicate with him through prayer and best of all, when I live right. he has given me his spirit (The Holy Ghost). The spirit lifts me when I am down, inspires me when I need help and grounds me when things are going good. Truly it works the way the Savior said it does, live the teachings and do what he asks us to do and we will know for ourselves if the docterine is true or not. Living the faith of Jesus Christ is living the good life.
