Hi I'm Nicholas

I'm a son, a brother, a friend, an uncle. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love the gospel. No matter what I go through in life, the gospel has all the answers. I am a high school graduate and have begun college at Weber State University. I have had many experiences that have shaped who I am and the personality that I have. I am an Eagle Scout and earned my Duty to God award. I am very proud of my life, even though I have made many mistakes (which we all do). My family and the true gospel are what have brought me to this point. I have 3 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 awesome parents. I love sports. Basketball, soccer, baseball, football, golf, you name it, I love it! Just be careful, I might beat you at it. I am currently a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the hardest thing I have ever done but definately the most rewarding. My Heavenly Father has blessed me to baptize many wonderful people and with the ability to learn a language. Yo Hablo Espanol! Holy cow! I have never loved the power that is contained in the Book of Mormon until my mission. I know the "wise purpose" of why God has brought it forth today and I love searching it for truth. I have become an uncle while on my mission. I haven't met my nephew yet, but someday I will. Just like someday, I will meet my Father in heaven again. How sweet would that reunion be? :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why wouldn't I want to be a Mormon?!!! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the "only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth." Of course I am going to be a part of it. Growing up in the church, you rely heavily upon the teaching and testimony of your parents. I like to say my conversion came partly when I was 14 years old. My family and I took a trip to the Sacred Grove where Joseph Smith had his vision of the Father and the Son. As we were walking up to the grove, my father told us to go and have a personal experience. I did just that. I had one of the best experiences with prayer that I had ever had to that point. I knelt down in the grass and prayed sincerely to know: (1) if God really was listening to me, (2) if Joseph Smith was a true prophet, (3) if the Book of Mormon was true, and (4) if this was the true church. I testify that all 4 of those things I asked for are true. There is no way I can deny it. The power of the Holy Ghost witnessed to me then, and continues to witness to me now, that all of this is true. Man cannot destroy the witness of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I strive to do what Christ would do if He were here. Teaching by an example of love is the best way anyone can live the true faith. I am a missionary, so, all I do everyday is live my faith, and bring others to it. It takes hard work and determination and even blood, sweat, and tears to live the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ, but there is nothing better.
