Hi I'm Linsie

Just a girl trying to be the best wife, mom, and woman.

About Me

In high school I had two best friends, I am now married to one of them! My husband, Nathan went to the Oklahoma, Tulsa mission. We wrote each other while he was gone and dated when he returned. We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. We had a beautiful wedding! We have been married for seven years and have three beautiful children. Nathan and I both work full time. We keep very busy and love doing things as a family or with our extended families. We enjoy watching movies and playing games with together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS, but that is not the only reason I continue to practice the faith. I know that this church is true. I know the teachings are of God. I know that the church is led by a prophet who communicates with and teaches what Heavenly Father wants him to. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know it was correctly translated by Joseph Smith. I know my family can be together forever through the blessings of the temple. I know the guidelines of the church are in place to both protect and perfect us. If we follow the teachings of the church we will be able to return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My family loves to go to church! My husband and I teach primary (ages 4-6). It is amazing how special little kids can make me feel! Living our faith isn't just about going to church, it's about living the principles taught in church always. We try our best to be kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, and gracious to others.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Linsie
Husband and wife can be together forever! Christ made it possible for families to be sealed for eternity. He said, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven..." (Matthew 16:19) To gain this eternal relationship, a man and women are first sealed together in a holy temple. Covenants or promises are made during this sealing. As they go through their lives, the husband and wife are to keep the covenants they made during their sealing. When they do this, their relationship will be bound in heaven, just as Christ said. Not only are couples bound together during this sealing ordinance but any current or future children are sealed to the parents as well. The family unit can be together forever. This is one of the greatest blessings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I can't imagine being alone forever! I am so glad my husband and I made the proper covenants and hope we can fulfill our end and be together for eternity. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Linsie
Faith is believing in the things we cannot see with our eyes. Faith is believing in the things we feel in our hearts. Faith grows when we follow God's teachings and have a desire in our hearts to believe in Christ. Show more Show less
