Hi I'm Michael

I'm a husband to my beautiful wife and the father of four wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life! I have an incredible wife, three unbelievable daughters, and a great son. We stay close to my parents and siblings by getting together for regular family activities and showing an interest in their lives. I enjoy running, mountain biking, all sports, and listening to all kinds of music...especially my wife's singing and daughter's piano playing. It took me over forty years to learn to enjoy running but now I'm hooked. It's my time to meditate, think about life and the challenges at hand, ponder spiritual things, and pray to my Heavenly Father. I served a two year mission for the church at 19 in Missouri and Illinois. I got married soon after returning home and we started our family while I worked my way through college and earned a degree in finance. I enjoy my work where I get to help families and business owners and still have time for my family and to serve others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the western United States and was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a teenager, I gained my own testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and chose to serve a mission when I turned 19. The gospel gives purpose to my life and to my family. It brings me happiness as I am obedient to God's commandments and try to serve others. True happiness can be found by living the gospel and following Jesus Christ. I am grateful we have the Bible, Book of Mormon, and living prophets to teach and guide us. I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ is universal and yet personal enough to change my life.

How I live my faith

I strive to keep the commandments, be happy, and set an example as a follower of Christ. Living the gospel helps me in my various roles as husband, father, son, brother, friend, and member of Christ's church. My family and I attend church each week. We try to follow the counsel given to have family prayer and read the scriptures each day, spend time as a family each week to learn the gospel, and enjoy wholesome recreational activities. I enjoy serving in the church. I have had the opportunity to work with the youth and adults in our local congregation. I currently get to help and support the leaders of several local congregations in their missionary efforts to share the gospel with our friends and neighbors. I can share the peace and happiness the gospel brings by the way I live my life and how I treat my family and those I meet.
