Hi I'm Paul

I have a family with six great kids and a great wife, love hiking and fishing and work as a graphic designer/artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We have a family of six children. We enjoy traveling on family trips and doing activities together. We have just become empty nesters and look forward to this new part of our lives. We have been living in Colorado for over thirty years. I love the mountains, natural beauty and variety of activities like hiking, fishing and skiing. I am a graphic designer by profession and love how it has given me the chance to learn and appreciate the efforts of others. Creating and designing is a very fulfilling part of my life. I look forward to spending more time painting and drawing the beauty of Colorado.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life. My family, as I was growing up, was very active in the church. I was taught about Christ and his love for me from a very young age. My conversion came in my teen years. I watched as three of my older brothers accepted the call to serve missions and the reality of me sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others scared me. I began reading in the scriptures and praying for an answer that it was true. My answer didn’t come right away. It took effort on my part – a lot of reading, pondering and praying. My answer did come – Our Heavenly Father loves all his children and does not block their way to returning to him but has sent prophets, both in the past and today to show us the way. I am a Mormon because of the joy and peace the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to my family and me. I am trying daily to have a change of heart and rely on my savior like it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. I cannot even imagine my life without the gospel of Jesus Christ in it. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and I will spend all my days studying, praying and obeying him.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily effort. I try to pray and read the scriptures daily and put into action that which I have studied. This often times forces me out of my comfort zone. I try to serve those around me. As I help others I feel that I am doing what the Savior showed us during his earthly ministry. I am a very imperfect man and rely on the gifts of the atonement to become clean before God. Repentance is a daily/hourly pursuit. Learning to forgive others is also an important aspect of my life that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has taught me. As I forgive others I feel the love of my Heavenly Father in my life. I also live my faith by serving in the church, serving my family and serving in our community. This has brought me great joy in my life and has made me a better man, father & husband.
