Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Nicole and I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah of a family of five. I know my background of growing up in Utah is not like most mormons, but diversity is always great! I have a wonderful family who support me in all I do. I am currently serving a mission in the Texas San Antonio Mission and love every minute of serving the Lord in His great work. Before becoming a missionary, I attended both Southern Utah University and BYU-Idaho. Both schools were great opportunities to learn and grow and meet many wonderful people. I love the outdoors. Mountain and road biking is something I really love to do. Skiing and snowboarding as well. The yo-yo and beat-boxing are some of my passions. Sometimes I wish that big fluffy bangs and mullets would come back in style so I could fit in more, but it's all good. Spending time with friends and making pancakes are always good ways for me to relax.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Our Savior Jesus Christ is what is most precious to me. I know that our Savior lives! His church has been restored to the earth today for all of us to partake of its blessings. As a missionary, I love being able to wake up each morning and share the good news of the Gospel! THe good news that our Savior died for us and that he does live! He loves each of us so much. He is very well aware of us and our needs. The reason why I am a mormon is because it rocks!

How I live my faith

The great thing about being a full-time missionary for the Lord is being able to not only live your faith all the time, but share it as well. I find when I am constantly sharing my faith, my ability to live it grows stronger. As missionarys, we wear name tags with the name, "Jesus Christ" printed on them, along with our own names. That symbolizes for me standing as a witness of Him and His redeeming love at all times, in all things, and in all places. It's about always remembering Him and striving to be just like him. You just got to live your faith a day at a time.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Nicole
I love this question! The mormon lifestyle, for me, is the happiest lifestyle we can live. Why? It is because we are obeying God's commandments and those commandments make sense. I know that by the choices I make now, it will bless my future family. Understanding Heavenly Father's plan for us helps us see the big picture and why we do what we do. I love how the mormon lifestyle includes the importance on families and how we need to strive every day to love and build our family members. The happiest times for me are when I am with my family. I am so grateful that through the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ we can be with our families forever. It's not so much about following rules, it's about being the most free and happy we can be--which is what our Heavenly Father wants for us. Show more Show less
