Hi I'm Paulina

I love the ocean, math and pierogies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the youngest of five children on beautiful Vancouver Island. I love to be outside, and I miss the ocean when I'm away for too long. After travelling a short time in Central America and Mexico, I have discovered my love of languages, specifically the Spanish language. I'm currently studying my undergraduate degree at the University of British Colombia. I've changed my focus more than 5 times, but I'm not too worried. I like learning, it is never time wasted. I like to camp, swim, take naps, read, play basketball, and eat good food. I love the vibrant exciting culture of Mexico, but I love the fresh, green familiarity of my home province. I am excited to explore more of the world. I am so happy to know that I am a daughter of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God loves me and that I am his daughter. I chose to be a member of this church because it brings me so much joy. Choosing the right strengthens what I believe every day. I continue to choose the right because of this faith that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I know that my family will be together forever, and that is a blessing which I thank God for every day. What a wonderful promise - to be with those I love forever! I can't think of anything that more perfectly illustrates God's love for me, and each of us. I choose the follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have faith that, if I do, I will become the best I can be. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives us hope. I never need to question who I am, because I know that I am a daughter of God, and He loves me. The hope and happiness I gain from knowing these things are incredible strengths for me.

How I live my faith

I live what I believe by making choices each day that bring me closer to God. I try to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, by loving my neighbour. I try to always have uplifting thoughts and language so that I can feel worthy and make just choices. I work every day to improve myself, and I continuously set goals to keep on the right track. I live my faith by not being afraid to speak up for what I believe and making sure that I do not keep my faith a secret. As I pray for strength, I know my Heavenly Father will continue to bless with the courage to do what is right.
