Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon. I knew the church was true at 15, after reading from the Book of Mormon.

About Me

I love sports and the outdoors. I love to cook. I enjoy playing games and watching movies with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The Book of Mormon is true. I remember reading it for the first time when I was 15 and feeling like the Lord understood me. 2 Nephi 31:15 says "And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved." Life can be tough; sometimes we feel alone. This scripture reminds me that we are meant to go through some trials and hard times. But if we can endure, tomorrow will be a brighter day. He knows what we suffer and He is right by our side. I receive strength as I read the scripture and as I read from the General Conferences of the church. The modern Apostles and Prophets are truly called of God and I feel the love of the Lord through them. The Spirit of God bears witness that these men are His servants; their words are inspired and even revealed by Him.

How I live my faith

Prayer is so important to me. It is a connection with God that I cherish. I can be open and honest with Him. I can lay it all out, the good, the bad and the ugly. He guides my thoughts and then my actions because I ask him to. When I haven't prayed and asked the Lord for help, I often find myself stuck in the same mistakes that never go away. Life can easily become overwhelming. But when I pray, He guides me to do what is right, even though it may be hard. He strengthens me and gives me the courage I need to accomplish the most difficult decisions. I love the Lord because He loved me first.
