Hi I'm Cameron Sprouse

I am 21, I recently returned from Russia and I am getting married in a few weeks.

About Me

I'm 21, I love to play guitar (mostly acoustic), I work at In-N-Out, I love the beach and I am going to school next semester.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church. I received a true testimony of the Gospel in my early teens. I was actually not going to go on a mission because I wanted to stay home and get my life started, but I prayed about my decision and resolved to serve a mission. I was so thrilled to get my call to serve in the Rostov-na-Donu Russia Mission and above all else, was so excited to meet my fellow brothers and sisters in Russia. I am a Mormon because I got down on my knees and prayed for answers. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because the Spirit of God told me in my heart. I know that it is the word of God and a Testament of Jesus Christ. I testify that in His name to be true.

How I live my faith

I served in the Rostov Russia mission as a Missionary of Jesus Christ from June 2011 to July 2013. For two years I talked to people about the Gospel and did my best to help them with their spiritual and physical needs. I would not trade the time I spent for anything. I loved my mission and I loved the people I met. I faced opposition, but I know that I was able to endure because the Lord was watching over me. I am currently engaged to a beautiful girl named Patty and we are getting sealed (married) for time and all eternity in the Sacramento Temple on December 21st. We are both striving to live a worthy life that we might be able to enter into the Lord's sacred house.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Cameron Sprouse
I am on a mission right now. I am here for one reason: because the Lord has asked that all worthy and able young men of the Church serve on a mission. I am here for the Lord. The way I look at is an inner duty to tell people about the things that have made me happy and have brought me to true joy in this life. In the Book of Mormon, Lehi a prophet has a vision of the tree of life. When he partakes of the fruit, its taste and whitness was unlike any other and such a great and overwhelming joy was bestowed upon him that the first thing he did is have a desire to share it with his family. Such is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I strive to love all men so that I can have an increased desire to share the Gospel with all as Lehi shared the fruit of the tree of life with others (see 1 Nephi chapter 8). Show more Show less
