Hi I'm Toby

I'm a Mormon. Born in California, spent 12 years living overseas growing up then settled in sunny Arizona.

About Me

I'm a pretty normal guy. Wake up every morning, go to work, raised 4 kids, have a golden retriever named Roxy and eat oatmeal for breakfast. I love to ride motorcycles and travel. Actually written and published two books about riding in the Rocky Mountains and Europe. I also like boats and have sailed a little bit too. I enjoy spending time with family, and, oh yeah, been divorced and just got recently remarried...yep just an ordinary guy.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever been on a sailboat? Ever tried to get to your destination without a rudder? Not possible. You literally go around in circles. Same with life. Life isn't just about living for the moment. It's far deeper and far more meaningful then that. My rudder is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I would be lost without it. How about you? Are you going around in circles?

How I live my faith

When Christ said you find your life when you lose it, He meant just that. The church provides the vehicle whereby you are literally put in a position to serve others. The choice is then yours on whether or not you want to serve. But when you do, as I have found through teaching youth, being a missionary, helping with someone's yard or delivering a meal to someone in need...those Christlike qualities that lie dormant in you expand and grow. You become more like Him. I have a long way to go. Just ask my wife and kids! But I'm trying and plan to keep on trying.
