Hi I'm Mark

I'm a husband, a father, a dentist and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father and a dentist. I spent twelve years in college getting an education. Those years proved challenging but well worth the effort. I love life and all that it has to offer. I love sports of all kinds including volleyball, basketball, football, baseball, mountain biking and many others. One of my favorite things is enjoying nature and the beauty of this world. I love to go camping, hiking, and backpacking. Constant learning has been the focus of my life. I enjoy learning new things that give me greater understanding of the world around me. Primarily I am focused on my God and on my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate to have parents, grandparents, great grandparents and great, great grandparents who were Mormons. This great legacy has had a profound impact on my life. Although I have had great examples to follow I have found that I have had to study, ponder and pray to obtain my own witness of the truth and to develop my own relationship with God. There is no other way! Essentially I am a Mormon because I choose to be, not because of my family or anyone else. I am a Mormon because I have studied the scriptures including the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine of Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price and have prayed about the things I have studied. I have not had one specific experience that defines my knowledge or my faith, but I have had many experiences throughout my life that have created the tapestry of my witness.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by the way I interact with and treat others. My focus is on helping and serving others through my work and by serving in the church. I use my education to help care for and provide service for people in need. In the church I serve as a clerk for multiple congregations and manage the finances, historical and statistical records for this group of congregations. I also train and help other clerks.
