Hi I'm Kim

I am a native of Colorado. I am happily married and have 3 beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to my great husband and have 3 children. I went to college and got a degree in Psychology and Early Childhood. I played a year of college volleyball. I love to do most things that keep me active like running, hiking, biking, and swimming. I also enjoy triathlons. I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy camping and being in the mountains, running races, playing games and spending time together.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I are converts to the Mormon church. I have an older sister who was baptized along with my Mom when I was 6 years old. The Missionaries came and knocked on our door and were answer to prayer. We had a lot of friends who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day and liked the example they were to us. Before my family joined the church I would go to the Methodist church with my family and then I would also go to the Mormon church with my neighbors every Sunday. I loved going to Primary in the Mormon church. I told my Mom & Dad that I wanted to join the church when I was 8 years old even if they didn't. I was baptized when I was 8 years old and then my father joined when I was 9 years old. We were sealed in the Denver Temple for time and all eternity when I was 10 years old. I will never forget that day! I am a member of this church because I know it is true. I know I have a loving Heavenly Father who loves me, has a plan for me and wants me to follow Him. I know Jesus Christ died for me so I can live with Him again and my family can be together forever. I know that Joseph Smith restored this true church and that we have a latter-day Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, to lead and guide us in this day. I know the Book of Mormon is true and can give us guidance in our life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings me such happiness. I can't imagine my life without it.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday (and not just on Sundays) in the way I speak, in the way I act and treat others, and in the way I dress, and the way I live. I get to go to church with my family every Sunday to learn more about the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have had many opportunities to serve others in various ways. I have served with the children, the youth, and women of the church . Serving others in the church has helped strengthen my testimony and also help me to feel of His love and guidance. I currently am working with the youth in my church. I specifically get to know and love all of the girls ages 12-18 years old. I work with other Young Woman leaders and we try to help the girls strengthen their faith & testimony of Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. We also help teach them to identify that they are a daughter of God and that it is important to be worthy by being obedient to the commandments and living our gospel standards. We help teach them how to prepare for their divine roles as a daughter, wife, mother, and a leader. We want these young women to understand and keep their baptismal covenants and also receive, recognize, and rely on the promptings of the Holy Ghost. We meet every Sunday together as a Young Women's group and then we also meet once a week for an activity night.
