Hi I'm Rhiannon

I was born in Canada but now live in sunny Queensland Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married almost 3 years; my little family means the world to me. I had a job I loved; doing sport and recreation activities for people with disabilities. But now I have another job I love; looking after our beautiful baby girl. I was very shy person until I realised shyness was stopping me doing things I really wanted to do. Since then I set goals to challenge myself especially when something makes me nervous. Sometimes it just means making a new friend or singing in a choir, this year I learnt how to play netball. I love being outdoors, photography, art, craft, food and I have learnt to enjoy trying something new.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel so blessed to be a Mormon. I know who I am, why I am here, and where I am going. My parents joined the church soon after they were married. I grew up being taught the Gospel, and always believed it to be true. But as I got older I knew I needed to understand if all the things I had been taught were true. It wasn't life changing, I had always had faith, had always believed. By praying to my Heavenly Father I learnt he was listening to me, that he knew me and understood me, that the things I had been taught were true. He has answered my prayers, given me peace and understanding and time and time again he has blessed me with what I needed. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I know my Heavenly Father loves me, everyday I recognise his hand in the details of my life, sometimes they are small things, sometimes life changing. Because of this I strive to live my life in a way that reflects that. I try and focus on the most important things in life, on the bigger picture. Sometimes I think it is easier doing what I want or doing things the way want to do them, but I have learnt over and over again that I am most happy when I live my life in a way that shows my faith.
