Hi I'm Josh

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name in Josh. I am a student of the world and of the Word. I enjoy learning knew things, but I would rather be learning the teachings of our Savior, than anything else. I am a student at a university located in a city where the Latter-day Saints is well known for; however, despite it being located in the LDS-populated area, is a very liberal-minded institution. It is hard sometimes to be in a class when some professor press upon you the ideas of the world, as being more important or correct than that of Heavenly Father. It saddens me at times knowing the truths that I do but being unable to share them openly with out embarrassing the professor, myself, or other students. I am glad they have a site now dedicated to the spreading of the gospel via social network.

Why I am a Mormon

This is an interesting question for many reasons... but I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Later-day Saints, for one reason, because it is Christ's Church, having been restored through Joseph Smith for us here in the Latter-days. The Priesthood Authority has been given back to the earth, the same Priesthood that Christ used during his earthly ministry has been restored. I am a Latter-day Saint because I live the truths I know to be true because my Heavenly Father has told me so in my heart.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of Christ's Church. I attend a Young Single Adults ward. The calling I currently hold is one that not many YSA members have, I am a temple worker. I volunteer my time twice a month and aid the YSA wards in temple service. Most of the time temple workers are older individuals that have this calling, so from my perspective it is one of the most insightful things i have ever done in my life (next to my mission). It is one of the more important works we can do, is temple work. The Temple is for us to help those who had not received the proper ordinances or scared acts, here in life. Thanks to the Priesthood Authority we are able to help those, who have passed on before us, receive these ordinances along with the covenants. I home teach about 5 people from our ward and it allows us to help one another become closer as a "ward family".
