Hi I'm Rosie

I’m a cake decorated running my own company. I believe that my mission in the world is to feed people and... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I first hear about this website I told my husband “FINALY” something us members can do to break the stereo types of being a Mormon. I’m a convert to the church so any misconceptions out there I already know. I grew up in southern California where lets just say life was really rough. I was raised in a catholic home and got into a lot of trouble as a kid I hung out with a bad crowd. People can’t believe that I’m a Mormon because I have over 12 tattoos and I always speak my mind. I love art on the body and off, I love the way people can express themselves that makes them interesting. I can’t sew, nor do I do laundry, but I love to cook and to teach other how to make cooking fun and easy. I’m a mother of four and I am married to the best husband in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

One day my husband and I were planning a weekend get-a-way to Las Vegas. And trust me when I say anything and everything that could have gone wrong did. It was during that time that we decided to go to church with my sister and her family. It’s hard to explain the experience that we had it was everything that we were looking for. Growing up catholic was not easy. But the thing that was really different is that in the Mormon church we teach each other, we only talk about how we understand things and we never judge others because it is not our place. At least that is my understanding. I love knowing that I don’t just go to church & church meetings but that I can learn what our heavenly fathers plan is and how I can follow it. I have found a lot of friends and learned everyday how to be a better mother and wife through the teaching of the gospel. I’m proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I know that my mission is to serve others in what ever I can. I am a great listener and like I said I love to cook. Before we joined the church I had learned about the missionaries having a budget and that the members of the church would help by feeding them. Anytime I hear about some one going with out food breaks my heart. I give to homeless shelters and food banks when I can. I hope that one day this will teach my kids that if we have extra to share with someone in need.

Are Mormons Christians?

I love this question, yes we are Christians! We believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. I remember this time when I was talking to some of my non Mormon friends and they asked me that question. Are you a Christian? I remember replying back with a question yes we are. Why? What did you think we were? One of the guys said will you don’t believe in Christ you only believe in Joseph Smith. I said of course we believe in Christ it is in our name The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The conversation turned out to be a debate but after all said and done he understood. So to answer this really great question yes we are Christians. Show more Show less
