Hi I'm Earl

I am retired do woodworking, gardening, chase 22 grandchildren, love life, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired husband and grandfather with 22 great grandchildren who keep me young. I enjoy working with Boy Scouts, helping youth in foster care, woodworking, gardening, photography, and family history. In my past I was a farmer, an agricultural lending officer, compliance officer, and a homeless grant manager. I find it very fun to make new friends and learn about them. People make the world go around.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I received a personal answer to my prayer. The question was "Is the Book of Mormon true?" Heavenly Father testified through the Holy Ghost to me that it was true. I have learned that God is my Father in Heaven, that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins if I will repent, that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored back to the earth in my day, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that we have modern day prophet in our time. His name is Thomas S. Monson. My testimony of Christ is the most important thing that I have in my life and it gives me meaning and purpose to my life.

How I live my faith

I am active in my community and church through service. In my church I have served as a scout master several times, Sunday schoolteacher, Bishop, and other administrative positions. Importantly, I try to help those who need help. In my community, I serve as a Court Appointed Child Advocate for the youth who are in protective custody of the State of Georgia. These youth need a lot of help. I also server in my political party trying to help keep our country strong. I did serve my country in the army during the Viet Nam war. I try to live my faith by looking out and helping those who need a helping hand.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?
