Hi I'm Sarah

I am a stay at home mom of 3 little girls, and I love every minute of it! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 3 beautiful daughters, I suffered through 3 horrible pregnancy with a disease called Hyperemesis. My daughters are truly miracles. I love being a mom and I am a hands on mom who likes to parent similar to attachment parenting style. I love being involved with my children and volunteering as much as possible at their schools and activities they are in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church until I was a teenager and then went inactive. I did not feel like I needed a religion in my life. I married my soul mate in 2003, we met in August, engaged in November, married in June, and pregnant in Sept......what a busy year that was! He was born and raised Lutheran. We decided when we got pregnant it was important to raise our child in a religion and to teach her about God,values, and morals. We natural decided to go Lutheran since that is what my husband was. But, after going to the Lutheran church it did not feel right to either of us. We both felt wrong about raising our children Lutheran. My parents had started going back to church and had the missionary's sent to our house. I knew right away I wanted to raise our children in the LDS church and that it was the true church. It took my husband 2 years of missionary discussions to finally except the church and get baptized. He had a hard time believing (not living) the word of wisdom. Then one horrible evening we where hit by a drunk driver that totaled our car and could have killed all of us. My husband said he felt the spirit so strong that evening and prayed harder then ever for an answer and received an answer and was baptized. We were sealed a year later in the Sacramento Temple to our two daughters at that time. We have been going strong since the day he was baptized. The gospel has made a huge difference in our life, and has helped us grow closer to Christ, and helped our daughters know they are daughters of God and that we will be a family forever.

How I live my faith

I believe religion is not something you just "attend" on Sundays. It is something you live every single minute of the day. I think the most important thing that I try to do personally do and try to teach my own daughters is service. Service is so wonderful and great because it helps others out and teaches you to be giving and Christ like. When I think of Christ I think of service and all he did on earth and try to teach my children to be like him. I truly love service! I work with girls ages 12-18 years old in the young woman's program. They have a program called "personal progress" and it is equivalent to boy scouts and when you have finished all of your"projects" you earn an award equivalent to an "eagle scout". These projects include 8 - 10 hour service projects. It teaches our youth morals, standards, values, and how to be the best they can be. I love "personal progress". and can not wait for my daughter to be old enough for the program.
