Hi I'm Zach

Grew up in Maryland, I love metal, like to wrestle, and I'm serving in the Idaho Boise Mission... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm pretty big on music. I like going to shows and get right in the moshpit until I get hurt, which doesn't take that long most of the time. I'm a huge fan of bands like Children of Bodom, Asking Alexandria, The Word Alive, Enter Shikari, Kalmah, Ensiferium, and We Came as Romans. I like to go hiking and other outdoor activities. I've walked a good portion of the Maryland section of the Appalachian Trail (don't quote me on the spelling) and its one of my life goals to hike the whole thing. I like to say I'm pretty laid back and I like having a good laugh. When I think of Jesus Christ, one of the things I'd imagine he has is a most perfect laughter. I'm currently serving in the Idaho Boise Mission. I know, i know. You're jealous.

Why I am a Mormon

It really doesn't require some grand story or experience to have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel. While i certainly have many experiences that confirm the divinity and truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it is not on experience alone that I rely on. I rely on the simple fact that God is our loving Heavenly Father and He answers His children's question. I have asked through prayer in the name of Christ if this church is true, and He has answered me through the Holy Ghost that it is. I continue to have trials and temptation every day, but i see that through the enabling strength and power of the atonement (or grace as most people know it) I can conquer them. This is the only true Church with the priesthood authority here on this Earth, and if that offends some people, as Christ would say, let them be offended.

How I live my faith

I'm serving in the Idaho Boise Mission, and i try to show my beliefs through my actions.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

There is only one way sure way to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormonism) is true. Sure, a lot of people, including myself, can tell you all day and night that this church is true. They can compare the Book of Mormon to the Bible, try and tell you facts, etc. But the only way that YOU can know for YOURSELF, beyond any doubt, is to read the Book of Mormon and pray to your Heavenly Father, your God, and ask in the name of Jesus Christ if the Book of Mormon is true. I promise that Heavenly Father will answer you with the manifestation of the Holy Ghost confirming that it is true. The answer comes in all shapes and forms. In Galatians we are informed that some of the fruits of the Spirit are peace, love, and happiness. Timothy says that the Spirit gives a sound mind. So again, i encourage all to pray and find out for themselves, cause honestly, who can best tell you the truth of *anything* than Heavenly Father? Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

It says right in the introduction of the Book of Mormon that it contains the gospel in its fulness *as does the Bible.* We love the Bible, but over the years people have made so many interpretations of it. Imagine placing a single dot on a piece of paper. This dot represents the Bible. Now see how many lines you can draw through it. Yeah, you can draw an infinite amount of lines through it, and each one of those lines is another interpretation. Now place another dot, and this one will represent the Book of Mormon. Only one line can go through both of those dots, and thus we get that one faith, one God, one baptism. Show more Show less
