Hi I'm Jo

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man. I am the mother of two great kids. A son and a daughter. My son is currently serving a mission in Florida for the LDS church and my daughter is headed off to college next month. I love spending time with family and friends, having BBQ's, going to movies, vacations. I like to read and garden. My family and my church are the most important parts of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine raising my family without the gospel in our lives. The gospel gives us guidelines to follow to keep us on track for a happy life and the opportunity to return to live with our Heavenly Father. It provides direction from a living prophet. The church gives my life balance and the knowledge of Eternal families. I love my Savior and all he did for me, I love learning about him and reading the teachings in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

My current calling in our church is to help with compassionate service. This means if someone is ill or has had a baby, etc. I help organize meals to be taken to them,or visits or whatever help they may need. We help organize meals for a funeral, or visit people in need of comfort for one reason or another. I have served in areas that involve the young children and the youth. Our church strongly encourages service to others. We cannot truly be happy if we care only for ourselves. It is when we are serving that we find true happiness. I try to be kind to everyone I meet and be a happy person. I love meeting new people. I want to be a light and an example that my Heavenly Father wants us all to be.
