Hi I'm Nate

I am a full-time missionary for the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter- Day Saints. I am 6 foot 5 and I love to play the piano.

About Me

I have been playing the piano for over 8 years now, I played basketball and track in high school. I love people, I am easy to get along with and I am very interested in what people think and how they feel. I don't know who I would be without my membership in this church. It has given me a life with high moral standards, purpose and direction. It has greatly blessed my life, and I want other to experience the joy I have experienced, and that is why I am out here in Texas serving a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church from goodly parents, many people believe we are brain washed. There came a time in my life were I wanted to rely on my own testimony rather than my friends or family, and the moment I asked God to know for myself if this church is true, if Joesph Smith was a prophet, if the Book of Mormon was all true, my life changed. I want everyone to know that I KNOW that Jesus Christ lives, that He is a resurrected being of perfect love and compassion. I witness that He lived a life on this earth for us, and gave His life for us. I know that through the unspeakable agony of His atonement, men and women can repent of their sins and become relieved from the weight of consciousness sin afflicts. I have seen people's lives change, I have seen miracles witnessed through the Priesthood power of God, I have climbed a spiritual Mount Sinai many times, consequently having received the augmentation of God's spirit many times. I recognize that I am a very young man with only 20 years of age, of little life experience. But it is my joy to share that I know that this church is true, that Jesus Christ continues to guide His Church through a living prophet today, and that the Divinity of the Bible is sealed by another witness of people that lived here in the Americas ( The Book of Mormon). I know that the Lord was introduced by God the Father to the prophet Joesph Smith in the grove of trees in which he prayed. I know these things are true, because I took the time and the diligence of effort to search, ponder, and pray if these things are true. Through experiences to numerous, and to sacred to discuss at the moment, I have come to a certain knowledge that all these things are true. I bear you my solemn witness, in the Redeeming name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I seek ways to improve myself every day. I pray for the strength to resist my weakness, and resist the buffetings of Satan everyday. I fill my life with as much light as I can everyday with scripture study, prayer, and service. I repent immediately after I fall short, I strive from the depth and conviction of my heart to be obedient to what the Lord expects of me. I allow my thoughts to gravitate towards the savior and my purpose as a missionary as often as I can. I push away and forsake the corruptible things of this world and try to carry my own cross. I try to judge righteously and always remember the divine potential in all of God's children. Instead of asking questions like "why is this so hard?" I ask " what more can I offer?". I have the privilege to represent Jesus Christ for 2 years on a mission, it has changed my life, and living my faith effects other lives. I am mindful of who I need to strive to be like, the manner of man I need to be, is the man that our savior is.
