Hi I'm Ian

Happy. Active. Live for Adventures. Mormon.

About Me

I find happiness in being active. One of my passions is playing ice hockey. All the problems of the world go away when I'm playing and the only thing that matters is who's goal the puck lands in. My biggest desire is to learn the piano. Photography helps me appreciate the beauty that God has given to us. I'm trying to deepen my understanding of the scriptures. I love the water.

Why I am a Mormon

My personal coversion didn't come all at once. It was over time and just gradual. At times I experienced Spirit filled rooms and had Spiritual experiences that have confirmed to me what I live is true. I am reminded daily that my relationship with my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, my family, and others is what is most important to me in my life through the miracles and blessings received. That is where the happiness is. There is no other way to be happy than to be serving all those around you. You make another person's day brighter and help build them up while it makes you feel good inside. There comes a point in everyones life where you depend on God. It's our job that when that point comes, we're there for them.

How I live my faith

By being happy! There are so many things in life that try and bring you down, but in the end God wants you to smile! That's why He has given us guidelines to enjoy life. God is about freedom. I love seeing others smile. It's a blessing to help others out, and then seeing the relief that it brings along with the smile that stems from the soul. You can't put a price on that. Praying, reading the scriptures, and attending church meetings are ways that I understand how to be more happy. They deepen my relationship with God which helps me truly see that those around me are my brothers and sisters and enjoy the beauty of living. Life is an adventure, and with God it's a blast!
