Hi I'm Ali
I grew up in Southern California, I worked with orphans in Ecuador and I was baptized when I was 19 years old. I am a Mormon.
About Me
I am a convert to the LDS (Mormon) church, I went to Ecuador to work with orphans--it was the most amazing experience of my life. I married my high school sweetheart. I work full-time while my husband finishes up school.
Why I am a Mormon
I was baptized when I was 19 years old, by my boyfriend, who is now my husband. Growing up I was raised in a great Christian home, with great morals and values. I began dating an LDS guy in high school, but religion wasn't really talked about. He was really nice, and his family was so great. I am big on family, and seeing his family so close, united and happy, made me interested in the LDS church. I started talking to my friends that were LDS, and decided to look into the church and what they believed. I feel like I was raised LDS my whole life, the same values and morals I was taught as a kid were exactly what the LDS church practices. I am a Mormon because I know the Christ is real. He died, and because he died, I am able to return and live with him.
How I live my faith
I like to serve and help others. Part of the reason I decided to go to Ecuador, was because I wanted to help less fortunate kids that didn't have moms and dads. I wanted those kids to feel the Saviors love for them, and to help them. I like to go to church on Sunday's, and visit my friends that I go to church with as often as I can. I don't drink or smoke, and try to dress clean and modest. I think I live my faith best by just being a nice person.
