Hi I'm Brenda

I am 25 years old. I'm working on my bachelors degree in Psychology. I live on campus and love college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 25 years old working on a bachelors degree in Psychology. I plan on going all the way to my doctorate. I live on campus in the dorms and love being in the middle of college life. Recently I have found out how much I enjoy outdoor adventure and some sports. I just learned how to jet-ski and ride ATV`s. I also started to take tennis classes which -surprisingly- I love.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though my whole family were not Mormon while I was growing up, I was raised in the church. My grandmother was investigating the church and believed I should be raised with a spiritual background. As I am sure many youth that grow in the church do wavier and some point, I have always known where I belong and what was right. No matter where I am and what I do the values that were instilled in me throughout my youth ring true. I know some of the rules hold people back from learning more about what we believe. I do not know of any rules that are made that do not benefit you. We do not drink or smoke which will only help the members avoid possible addictions. Whenever I question myself about my faith and the strength of my testimony, I think back to our first prophet. I know that a young boy questioning his faith and wanting guidance was not asking how to start a new church. This was a heavenly plan and I feel that when I go to church and church activities.

How I live my faith

I try to live as an example. Live by the standards of the church and stay away from situations which make me feel uncomfortable. I try to treat everyone with respect and help others when I can. When appropriate I am truthful about being Mormon and answer any questions that may come up. I am active in the church young single adult programs. I attend the classes and activites as much as I can. I love being around those that share my beliefs. We can learn off each other and create a family away from home -when I am away at college.
