Hi I'm Beulah

I live in Brisbane and am studying at UQ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Australia but rasied in England, and now living back in Australia studying Linguistics and English Language at University.  I am one of five children and I love my family. I love to dance, read, cook and play sports, but most of all spending quality time with family and friends has to be one of my most favourite things to do. Life truly is whatever you make of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but there comes a time in everyones life that they need to decide how they will choose to live. As a young girl I always wanted to serve a full time mission and couldn't wait until I was old enough. Then in my teenage years I had opportunities to choose a different path but quickly learnt that this path would not have the same peace and happiness that the Gospel could bring me. That is when I really began to develop my own testimony that what I was living was a fruitful way of living. I chose to serve a mission and was called to Temple Square in the United States. This has by far been the best decision I've made with my life so far, as it brought me closer to my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and taught me to refine my understanding with how the Spirit speaks with me. I loved seeing hope restore to people's eyes as they would learn who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for all of us. I know that God loves us and gives us guidance through a living Prophet, Thomas Monson. Joseph Smith was called to restore the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and translate the Book of Mormon which has the main purpose of testifying of Jesus Christ, our personal Saviour. I love to share these truths and strive to live worthy of one day returning to my Heavenly Father with my family.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in my local area. Earlier this year I was called to serve as a leader of the women's organisation at church. With about 80 sisters aged 18-31 years old, we are at a similar stage of life as each other yet we face different trials and challenges. We strive to strengthen each others faith and to serve one another and the community. There are many of opportunities to teach, serve and learn and lead. I have often been asked how I feel about my service in the church compared to the men in the church and I can honestly say I am very happy with the responsibilities given to me. Women are blessed with the love of God and compliment the men on the service they give. Both work in harmony together!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Beulah
Missionary service is primarily a responsibility given to men in the church who are living the gospel and desire to serve, however, womens service is greatly welcomed! I chose to serve a full time mission and felt it was a great privilage and the Lord was able to reach people hearts through me that no other person could. Show more Show less
