Hi I'm Corley.

I grew up in the deep south. I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am wife to a strong-willed and hardworking man, who is truly my best friend. I am mother to two remarkable little boys. My days are full of finding the best treats in the kitchen, answering all the "why's" a four-year-old can invent, bouncing an infant, and trying to create a happy haven for my sweet brood. I am a Southerner. I love the tall pines that frame the highway, the smell of honeysuckles, and the power in being hospitable. I love crafting, creating, the ways things feel when they are cleaned and organized(though my house is in and out of being both of those!), and spending lots of time with my family. I am social and inherently loud. I love to hear my boys laugh-it is quite possibly the sweetest sound in all the world. Speaking of that, laughter might just be my most favorite thing. Boy, does life need a lot of it!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both converts to the church. As the saying goes, " they jumped in with both feet". My choices in life and as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ are largely due to their faith and amazing example. There is no particular huge incident that solidified my testimony, but instead a culmination of many experiences where I've felt (and continue to feel) Father in Heaven's hand in my life. I know that we have a loving Father in Heaven. He knows us by name, by face, by favorite color, by strength, and by weakness. He wants the very best for us in this life. He gives us opportunities to grow and be refined, to turn around and start again. He sent His only perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer for our sins, feel our individual pains, allow us to overcome death through resurrection, and to give us a way to return to live with God. I know that the 14 year old, Joseph Smith, did truly see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Joseph was obedient and helped to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. We have a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson. His words are truly those that the Lord would have us listen to and heed. All that is good in this life, all that I have been blessed with, are a result of living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is TRUE!

How I live my faith

I try my very best each day to find the good in those around me. My Dad used to say that in this life he was painting a picture and that he hoped in the end, it would look something like the Savior. I echo that sentiment. I have an opportunity to interact with many people not of my faith and it is always my humble prayer to be a reflection of Christ's love to them and anyone I meet. I also have an opportunity to be the primary chorister at church. I LOVE to lead the children in singing songs about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Their sweet testimonies strengthen mine. I feel so blessed to have the gospel as a constant in my life and I want to be, as Hillary Weeks beautifully proclaims, " a window to His love."
