Hi I'm Gwen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four. Each one is a miracle. They were all born from 6 weeks to 9 weeks early, but they have suffered no ill effects from this. I love to stay home and be a mom. When I have time, I scrapbook, make baby quilts, paint, and sculpt. I am married to a wonderful man that supports me in everything. We don't have a lot of money, but through the Lord's help we never want for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful family that taught me Gospel of Christ from birth. I grew up knowing that Jesus loves me and with the Holy Ghost as a companion. At the age of 15, I knelt on the floor in my room and talked with my Heavenly Father. I knew that the Mormon church was true, but I had been told that I needed to pray and find out for myself. So, I knelt there and pored out my heart to my God and asked him to answer my prayer. My answer was immediate. I remembered all the Priesthood Blessings I had received. I remembered all the lessons I had been taught that touched my heart. I recalled the gospel and how simple it is and how it just makes sense. Then I heard a voice telling me, "Why are you asking me? You already know it is true." My heart burned with the love of my Heavenly Father and I never doubted my faith since. I have tried to live my life in a way that my God will be proud of me and when the times comes to meet him again, he will hold me in his arms and tell me, "Well done."

How I live my faith

I have spent the majority of my time serving in the church with the children. I have been in the "presidency" (group of four with one women at the head, two councilors, and one secretary) of the Primary (group of children from ages 18 months to 12 years old) for the last 2 and a half years. I love serving the children. They are so willing to learn and have such strong faith in the teachings of the gospel. I also love serving in a presidency because we grow so close together through our service and the time we spend in trying to make the organization run as smoothly as possible for the children and their teachers. Part of my responsibly was also to oversee the cub scouts. The cub scouting program is so important for boys to participate in. It teaches them how to be good citizens and gives them the basic information that they can use through their life. My son is not into sports and other physical activities, but he is able to find his place in the cub scout and prepare to be a scout when he gets old enough. Without starting as a cub scout, he would be less likely to participate in boy scouts. I was just recently released from my job in the Primary. I miss it a lot, but I know that it was time for me to go on to something else. I know that our jobs in the church are directed by God and He knows what is best for me. I just hope I get a new job as soon as possible. I love to serve and feel a little out of place when I am not.
