Hi I'm Wesley

I love to play lacrosse. I love music. I'm not very good at writing short summaries about myself. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played lacrosse all through high school, and I love it. Best sport in the world! I love to sing, and wish that I could play an instrument... I love listening to music, of most genres. Music always puts me in a good mood, and I love to sing along. I enjoy being in the outdoors: hiking, camping, climbing, etc. I have been to a year of college, so far, and i'm thinking about going into computer science, or information systems. I am currently serving a two year mission in the Portland area. It's the best!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the LDS church, but I am an actively involved member today because I have seen all of the good that has come, to my life and others', from living its teachings. My testimony of this gospel, and of God and Jesus Christ, is very strong. I bear witness that They live, and their love for us is manifest in so many ways. My testimony is very centered in Christ, and in the atoning sacrifice that He made for all mankind. Because of Him, we have a chance. We can repent, be forgiven of our sins and mistakes, and change our character to become more like Him. I have developed a great love for studying the scriptures, and I testify that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the word of God. They have given me help, thoughts, and inspiration when I needed help. I testify that God communicates with us through the scriptures.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am serving a full-time mission for the church, in the Oregon Portland Mission. I love serving others, and teaching them about our beliefs. It is awesome to see the improvement in peoples' lives as they develop faith in Christ! We get to go out and talk to different people every day, and it has been really cool to get to know people from all different walks of life. I have felt, very strongly, the love that God has for each one of His children, and for those that I have worked with as a missionary. I have gained a very strong testimony of the power and importance of service. Christ served others while he was on the earth, and he expects us to do the same. And he will enable us to serve well, since we can't do it on our own. My love for the people of Oregon has grown very strong as I have done my best to serve them.
