Hi I'm Sarah

I was born in Cornwall, grew up in Worcestershire and now live in Wales. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 4 children. Currently I am fortunate enough to be able to be a stay at home mum. I love being with my family, helping others around me and really enjoy music. I have lots of things I like to do but at the moment have set my focus on the children. I like to get involved with my childrens schools and spend time with my family. I am the second eldest of 7 and love to spend time with my now rather extended family also.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that were already members of the church however as I reached my late teens I realised that I needed to know for myself whether or not the church and it's teaching were true. Through constant study and prayer I was able to recognise the spirit in my life and it testified to me, and has continued throughout my life, telling me that what I was doing was right. The gospel brings me soo much Joy in times of sorrow, peace in times of turmoil and hope in times of despair. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me and that with him I am able to do anything that is right for me at that time, because of that knowledge and testimony I continue to follow his gospel and hope that my children will also one day feel of that love and knowledge for themselves. I can't imagine going through life without the gospel.

How I live my faith

I currently serve among the women of our ward aged 18 plus. I love serving in this capacity and having the opportunity to serve, love, get to know and help those around. We meet regularly and organise regular activities. I also have the opportunity to go out regularly to meet with other women in our ward area and spend time with them building relationships, helping, discussing the gospel and generally being with other women. I go out with another women and again I enjoy that relationship. On times I am also able to be involved with a choir and enjoy leading it. Music is very dear to me and I feel very close to my Saviour as we sing praises. We often sing other music to and have put on concerts for the local community, this not only brings great joy to the choir but those listening. It is a joy to be able to be part of it all. I play the piano and this means I have been able to help in my local schools with concerts and plays etc. Once again I get to enjoy the music but more importantly i am able to bring happiness to others who are taking part and listening.
