Hi I'm Chalise

I'm a small town girl living in the big city. I love to create and find joy in the small things. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My life might not seem to exciting to other people but I love it. I am a stay at home mom and I think it is the most important job in the world. I have my degree in Elementary Education but right now, I am focused on teaching the most important people in my life, my children. My husband is going to Pharmacy school and we enjoy doing many things together as a family. We love nature and being outdoors. I love creating anything new and finding ways to remake old junk into new treasures. I have a love of animals and we have a simple dream of owning some land to raise our family and maybe some goats and chickens. Life is meant to be joyful and the little things help remind me of that.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel is full of joy. Nobody is perfect but I love that this religion is so focused on becoming the best person you can be and there is always room for forgiveness and repentance, with ourselves as well as with others. I have found that when I am living the teachings of the gospel, I am the happiest. Why would I NOT want to live that. There may always be some things I don't understand but that does not stop me from having faith that our Father in Heaven understands them and that is enough for me right now. The spirit has testified to my heart so many times of the truthfulness of this gospel and I am so happy to have it in my life. It is my rock.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example most of all to my children. I serve in my ward primary and love being able to teach. I am a visiting teacher and try to be a person who lives the way Christ taught by loving other people and not judging but giving people the benefit of the doubt. This is something I am continually working on
